Workshops

Creating Connection

Our workshops illustrate how the power of music can support traumatized children and youth, boost creativity, work with chaos control positively and creatively, and improve compassionate communication.

These essential life skills and competencies will enable participants to engage and connect with their communities and build trust and confidence to collaborate with others.

By providing a safe space where participants can learn and freely express themselves, they can explore possibilities and engage in opportunities for a positive and prosperous future.

Diverse Programming

Community Partners

We work with local shelters and community centers to host our workshops, including Costi Settlement Services, North York Community House, and more.

These workshops are facilitated weekly in collaboration with our partners and are free to attend. Participants can sign up for these events through the host spaces to ensure participants’ privacy.

We also facilitate pop-up workshops, typically open to all ages and facilitated through school programs, summer camps, youth programming, and community bonding programs.

We integrate the knowledge and experience of participants to customize workshops and cater to the needs of our participants.

Using active learning exercises, combined with music theory and stories, we facilitate a process in which participants learn from each other as well as our instructors.

We build our programming based on the needs and requests of the group. Our workshops are designed based on age group and participant needs. Some themes include Non-Violent Communication, Body Percussion, Musical Improvisation, Creative Music Making, Choir Music, Drum Circles, Dance,  Orchestra Conducting, Music & Theatre Improvisation.

“Music has the power to weave new stories and melodies together, echoing the journeys of each family member in a symphony of hope and unity.”
